The second ski trip in Svalbard took us from Longyearbyen to the 14th of July Bay, passing through Colesbukta, Tryghamna, St. Jonsfjorden, and along the coast of Prince Karl Island. We enjoyed beautiful days with a wide variety of ski outings, in all types of snow, across glaciers and mountainous terrain. On days with more mixed weather, we still made the most of the surrounding nature: wandering through deep crevasses of an accessible glacier, tackling a couloir in a thick blizzard, navigating through wind, snow, and ice, and observing an especially endearing walrus colony. In short, a 100% Arctic week - from its gentlest beauty to its most extreme harshness.
