Join Escales Polaires
Our ships are operated by our own teams for small group adventure cruises.
A ground commitment born from a passion for the sea and polar regions.
"Here, we do not sell trips. We live and share a maritime adventure."
A ground-based company, above all
Polar Stops is a shipowner-operator. This means we are not just intermediaries: we own, maintain, and operate our ships with our own teams.
Every crew member, from the captain to the cook, is directly involved in safety, guest experience, and daily life on board.
For us, the human element, mutual trust, and technical competence take precedence over grand speeches. We seek partners on board rather than mere executors.

Our way of working
The crew is at the heart of the passenger experience. We cultivate a team spirit based on simple and solid values.
Trust and Responsibility
On board, everyone is responsible for the safety and success of the adventure. We trust in ground judgment and individual initiative in service of the collective.
Pride in a job well done
Whether it is mechanics, navigation, or hospitality, excellence lies in the attention to detail. We appreciate meticulous work, far from ostentation.
Respect and Kindness
The crew is a family of circumstance. Mutual respect, listening, and helping each other are the foundations of our daily life in the confined space of the ship.
Transmission and Evolution
We believe in the stability of teams. Learning from the experienced, training the newcomers, and growing within the company is at the heart of our human model.

Daily life as a crew member
Friendliness & Respect
On board, intimacy is limited. Courtesy and cleanliness are essential marks of respect towards colleagues.
Collective Responsibility
Safety is not the responsibility of one person. Everyone is vigilant for others and for the ship.
Stability and Progression
We promote long contracts and seasonal re-hiring to build a cohesive team over time.
